Started from the bottom, ended at the bottom.

Hello lovelies ! Happy Sunday to you all. Yesterday I attempted to hike Mount Pilchuck with one of my bestfriends Renee ! Unfortunately, we ended up taking the trail to Lake Heather instead. The end point was beautiful ! but definitely not where we expected to be. Mount Philchuck is a rather difficult hike (or so i've been told), and at the summit there's a 360 degree view of Washington, also a cool firehouse lookout, and Renee and I were both really excited to be there however, while we were hiking up slope for 75% of the way, we started going down on a decline, then we thought "Wait, why aren't we going up anymore.." So we asked two ladies on the same trail with their dog if we were on the trail to Mount Pilchuck, they kinda laughed then said we went on the wrong hike from the base of the trail.. It was the saddest moment ever cause it was already 2:20 and there was no way we could make it back to base then start a hike again, so we decided to just finish the trail to Lake Heather. The view was still really pretty though, and no regrets at all. It was really cold as well. Renee and I found a rock to eat food and take selfies at, but our hands started to get numb and my food was way too cold to even eat so we ended up walking back. On our walk back, we saw parts of the lake literally frozen ! The water was icing up, creating a really cool texture. It was so muddy throughout the hike too, my poor timberlands are kind of ruined haha. Overall, it was a nice hike ! and such a good day :) Hopefully next time we will go on the right trail to Pilchuck, but for now we'll just take this hike as our warm up ;)
